Can you believe it? You’re halfway through your junior year of high school! And now you have a couple of weeks off from school to just relax.
But it’s also a great opportunity for you to spend a little time focusing on college prep. Every little step you take now will make the college search and application process a little easier.
Here are some things for you to consider over your holiday vacation:
- Initiate family conversations. Have you had any family discussions about your future? Now’s a good time to sit down with your parents and share a little a bit about what you envision for your college experience.
- Refine your college list. Break out that list of things that are important to you when it comes to colleges. If any specific universities come to mind, add them to the list. Or start researching to see which schools offer what you want.
- Know your guidance counselor. If you haven’t met him or her yet, introduce yourself after the break. Your guidance counselor has a wealth of knowledge about navigating the college admission process.
From all of us at Sullivan University, enjoy your holiday vacation!
